CHRISTMAS PARTY AT THE MARRIOTT HOTEL

In keeping with tradition, but not with as big a Club member turnout as envisaged, this year’s end of the year  party of the German-American Men’s Club was again held in the nice ambiance of the Marriott Hotel in Munich, albeit on a slightly smaller scale.

Special guests were the American exchange students from Austin, Texas and Gainesville, Florida. They are studying at the Ludwig Maximilian Universität and will be in Munich until August of the coming year.

In his address, the President welcomed the guests and introduced the “A capella Group Tiramisu” which, by their musical performance, rendered a particularly atmospheric note to the evening.  The three ladies of the group enchanted us with Christmassy, sacral and folklorsistic songs in German and English and with gospels and folk songs in Bavarian vernacular.
