VISIT OF THE PAHARAO EXHIBITION
High spirited, enjoying splendid foehn weather with incredible clear views, were on our way to Rosenheim to the Pharaoh Exhibition at the Lokschuppen.
We were poised for an excellent and exceedingly competent guided tour of the exhibition “Pharaoh” which not only presented the gigantic building achievements for which the Egyptians are famous, but also the day to day life of ordinary people. How did the Egyptians live, how was their political system organized and what made this sophisticated culture so productive? A novel presentation of the social history answers these questions and carried us away to the banks of the Nile. The exhibition fascinated by many original exhibits from the University Museum Aberdeen, many being shown publicly for the first time.
After an extensive and relaxing lunch break at the “Zum Johann Auer” restaurant we continued our trip to Wilparting at Irschenberg were we enjoyed the glorious late summer weather on the terrace of the restaurant cum café “Zum Moar-Wirt”.
